How do I find out what CE my state requires?

CE requirements are set by each state board and differ by profession, so the number of hours you need — and which subjects are mandatory — depends on your license type, your state, and when your license renews.

Two things to check:

  • Your profile. Once your license type, state and renewal date are on file, your dashboard shows what applies to you and flags any subject your state requires specifically.
  • Your state board. The board is always the final authority. If what you find there differs from what you see here, follow the board.

Our courses are accepted in all 50 states as self-study / home-study CE, but some states limit how many self-study hours may count towards a single renewal. Check that limit before buying if you are close to it.
