How many credits do I need, and how do I choose courses?

How many hours you need depends on your state and license type, and on how many you have already completed this renewal period. Your dashboard shows what applies to you once your license details are on file.

Choosing courses:

  • Check your mandatory subjects first. Many states require specific topics — infection control and similar — and those cannot be substituted.
  • Fill the remainder with what interests you. Every course carries the same weight per credit hour.
  • Buying several is cheaper. Our volume pricing reduces the per-course price as you add courses, with no package to commit to in advance. The Course Builder shows the saving as you go.

Each course page lists its credit hours and subject before you buy.
