Wyoming requires both dentists and dental hygienists to complete 16 hours of CE every two years (biennial cycle running on odd years, due December 31). Dentists must include 3 hours on responsible prescribing of controlled substances. There is no cap on self-study/online CE — the entire requirement may be completed online.
Biennial CE period runs on odd years (e.g., Jan 1, 2025 — Dec 31, 2026), with the 16 hours due by December 31 of the final (odd) year. Note: a license first issued in an even year owes only 8 hours for the initial partial cycle (still including the 3 controlled-substances hours for dentists).
