Rhode Island dentists must complete 40 hours of continuing education every two years and dental hygienists must complete 20 hours every two years, with CE attested by May 1 of even-numbered years (licenses expire June 30 of even years). At least 1 hour per year must cover CDC Infection Control Guidelines, and a current hands-on BLS/CPR certification is required.
