Oklahoma dentists must complete 40 hours of continuing education and dental hygienists 20 hours per 2-year (biennial) reporting cycle, which runs July 1 to June 30 (currently July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027). No more than half may be completed online: dentists are capped at 20 online hours and hygienists at 10, with the remainder required to be live/in-person. Required content includes live in-person CPR/BLS, an ethics course once per cycle, and 2 hours of opioid prescribing; Uses CE Broker as of 7/2025 Licenses are renewed every yeat=r on Dec 31st.

CE is reported on a 2-year reporting period that runs July 1 to June 30 (the current cycle is July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2027).

Online CE in Oklahoma: Oklahoma allows dentists to complete no more than 20 of their 40 required hours online/self-study (the other 20 must be live in-person or live interactive), and dental hygienists no more than 10 of their 20 hours online.
