New York dentists must complete 60 hours of continuing education per three-year registration period, and dental hygienists 24 hours. Home-study hours are capped (18 of 60 for dentists; hygienists must complete at least 14 hours live), plus several one-time mandated courses.
CE is completed within each three-year registration period. On a rolling 3-year (triennial) cycle tied directly to the last day of each individual's birth month
