New Mexico Dental CE Requirements

New Mexico dentists must complete 60 CE hours and dental hygienists must complete 45 CE hours during each three-year (triennial) renewal cycle, which runs July 1 through June 30. Both professions may complete a maximum of 30 hours as self-study (online/correspondence/webinar), with the remaining hours earned through live/interactive courses. Dentists with a DEA registration must also complete 3 hours on controlled substances each renewal. DAily cap of 8 hours for CE> Does not officially CE broker per NM RLD.

Triennial renewal running July 1 through June 30; all CE must be completed during the three-year renewal period before the license expires. New licensees prorate at 15 hours per year.
