Indiana dentists must complete 20 hours of CE and dental hygienists 19 hours each biennial renewal cycle, with licenses expiring March 1 of even-numbered years. At least half of the hours must be live, which caps non-interactive self-study/home-study CE at about 10 hours for dentists and 9.5 hours for hygienists. Both must include a 2-hour course on ethics, professional responsibility, and Indiana statutes and rules; hygienists must also hold BLS certification.
Licenses expire March 1 of even-numbered years; the current cycle runs March 2, 2026 through March 1, 2028. Renew online at mylicense.in.gov.
