Course Description:

The objective of this course is to provide a functional understanding of temporomandibular joint anatomy in both the healthy and injured conditions. Various treatment philosophies will be presented as well as diagnostic testing, imaging, and treatment modalities.

Course Objectives:

1. To provide knowledge of the normal anatomy of the joint as well as an understanding of temporomandibular joint disorders.

2. Recognize trauma that occurs to the joint as well as imaging techniques used for diagnosis.

3. Learn multiple treatment philosophies used in various clinical settings.
