Course Description:

Course Objectives:

2. Recognize Oral Manifestations: Identify the common oral symptoms of Sjögren’s Syndrome, including dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, and changes in taste, and understand their impact on overall oral health.

3. Diagnose Sjögren’s Syndrome: Discuss the diagnostic criteria and methods for diagnosing Sjögren’s Syndrome, including the role of salivary gland biopsy, blood tests, and imaging techniques.

4. Manage Xerostomia: Implement practical strategies for managing xerostomia in patients with Sjögren's Syndrome, including the use of salivary substitutes, fluoride treatments, and other palliative care measures.
